This week, Paige and Katie met with White Force Security’s good friend (of whom they currently sponsor), Casey Chapman. Casey has been kickboxing since 2012 and has managed 2 Gold and 3 Silver in the British Open Champions, 3 Silver in the World Open Championships, and 1 Gold in the World Open Championships. After travelling the globe fighting for the England team for kick boxing, Covid hit and this put a pause on things, but Casey is back with a vengeance to kick start her career again by fighting in the biggest fight of her career so far.
Here’s Casey to tell us more:
This show is probably the biggest fight of my career so far; I am on the undercard of Muay Thai Grand Prix which is a 3×2 minimum round.
I received a phone call from my sister to ask if I wanted the opportunity. I had Leeds festival and a holiday coming up, but this was a no brainer. I took the fight and since then, I have literally dedicated the last 12 weeks to this fight: I sold my Leeds festival ticket and I have trained and dieted to get myself to this point, and I am ready!
This fight could be the start of getting my own name out there, it’s a chance for me to show everyone what I have worked so hard for the last 9 years.
This will be my first fight back since covid, however I am coming off a win back in 2019 of winning the world championships so my confidence in my ability is definitely there. I can truthfully say I have never worked so hard. I have had my strength and conditioning covered by Jemma Wesson at the Unit Gym in Middlesbrough. My strength has come on leaps and bounds, and I am definitely stronger pound for pound then I was 6 month ago.
I have had a nutritionist for the last 12 weeks and have stuck to a very strict diet in a resulting in reaching my needed fight weight, and also a total loss of 10kg. My kickboxing and K1 coaches have commended how in shape and strong I am now, and that they have no doubt in my ability and skills to be able to pull off the win on Saturday. This fight means so much to me. I think after covid I want this more than anything and really have shown that by my work effort!
What’s even better, is that my main sponsor, White Force Security, is ran by 2 powerful women, Paige and Katie, showing that it’s no longer a “man’s world” and I can’t wait to make them, and everyone else proud on Saturday!
I have 52 people traveling across the country to Sheffield to watch and support me on Saturday and that in itself is unbelievable.
